Mil spec engineering also ensure ultra low EMI operations. Glow head voltage is held at 1.4 Volts. Wet plug detect circuitry boosts current output to ensure consistent plug heat range. No danger of blowing those expensive glow plugs. Short circuit and over current protection ensures that flight packs and RCD3001. Self protection circuitry shuts down the glow driver and normal operations return after unit has cooled down. | RCD3001 Universal wide voltage Glow Plug Driver - Cost £14.00 High efficiency switch mode supply ensures minimal drain on flight pack. Push the LED indicator switch and the glow plug is lit for 15 seconds. LED lights to indicate glow. After 15 seconds the onboard glow driver (RCD3001) reverts to sleep mode. | Outboard for Zenoah type engines |
Internal square on the input shaft for a standard 1/4" flexshaft with a square end. The Z drive is made from Dural. Inside, the drive has seven ball bearings, hardened shafts, and pinion gears which are bathed in oil. The output-shaft RPM is geared to run 16% higher than the engine to increase speed. The attitude of the drive can be manually adjusted or with the optional "Quicktrim" and a servo during a run. Typically a 5 minute break in is required to settle the precision gears. Version III now has access to the bottom of the oil sump facilitating maintenance. After a run, any water will collect on the bottom of the sump. By removing the stainless-steel cap screw on the front of the skeg, water can be drawn out directly without removing oil. Our Lubrication kit m-1729/W will speed this process. | |
